We offer construction courses that last up to 16 weeks that will help you gain the experience and skills necessary to become more employable. The skills you gain are the skills employers are looking for. 

These courses are designed to provide in-depth knowledge and skills relevant for anyone who is currently, or about to be, working as a construction site manager. If you are responsible for planning, organising, monitoring, controlling, or administering groups of staff on a construction site, completing an SMSTS course will help you to do your job effectively, efficiently and safely.

Skills for Life logo

PASMA

PASMA training is designed to ensure safe assembly, movement, and disassembly of mobile access towers used when working at height. PASMA training also covers people who wish to inspect mobile access towers for safety purposes. This course gets the learner the accreditation needed to be able to use mobile access equipment on site.

SMSTS

SMSTS stands for the Site Management Safety Training Scheme. This is a qualification created by CITB to establish a clear industry-wide standard for the management of health and safety on construction sites.

Courses we offer

Level 3 Occupational work supervision and gold CSCS card.

The occupational work supervision is an NVQ level 3 qualification which is aimed at and suitable for all supervisors in the construction industry wanting to attain their gold card. The qualification structure specifies the combination of units that are needed to be achieved for the individual to be awarded the qualification. CSCS Gold Card

SSSTS

SSSTS stands for: Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme. This course is specifically for site supervisors and is for you if you are considering, or already have, supervisory responsibilities. Click here for more information.

Who are they for?

To be considered for Skills Bootcamp you must be 19 years or older. The courses are aimed at medium to higher level skills. You must also be one of the following;

  • Self-employed

  • Employed

  • Unemployed

  • Returning to work after a break

  • Resident of the UK or able to work legally in the UK

Cost

The cost of these courses are free for learners as long as they meet the criteria. For employers it's a little different, take a look below.

  • You will receive a 100% discount for the courses if you are self-employed.

  • For small to medium employers, you will receive a 90% discount for all courses.

  • Larger employers will contribute 30% to total fee costs with a 70% discount.
